NSCAD University Faculty Recognition Award
By student vote, the NSCAD University Faculty Recognition Award is given annually to faculty by the student union.

2003 Awarded 2003 NSCAD University Faculty Recognition Award for outstanding teaching performance and dedication to enhancing student life. It was an honour to be nominated so early within my teaching career.

 

Parks Canada CEO Award of Excellence
The award celebrates outstanding achievement and are given to individuals, teams or partners whose work and behaviour best reflect Parks Canada’s mandate and charter.

2008 The Atlantic Service Centre was recognized for their Exemplary Service in developing the Parks Canada Signage Standards program.


PROFESSIONAL AWARDS

AZ Awards 
The AZ Awards for design excellence showcases the best architecture, interior design, products, concepts and student work from around the world.

2017 Form:Media and Ekistics Planning & Design received a Merit award and the People’s Choice award in the Experiential Graphic Design Category, a new category for the 2017. The esteemed jury chose 70 finalists for the AZ Awards 2017, selected from an astounding 813 entries from 41 countries.

 

Art Directors Club of Metro Washington (ADC-MW)
The ADC-MW Annual Show presents the best in art direction, design, photography, and illustration created over the past year by organizations located in the greater metropolitan Washington area..

2009 The Corcoran received two awards at the Gala Reception of the Art Directors Club of Metro Washington’s 60th Annual Show on June 6 2009. John deWolf and Maria Habib were honoured with a merit award for their work on the exhibition collateral for Richard Avedon: Portraits of Power. In addition, the ADC-MW also presented a gold medal for the Annie Leibovitz Honorary Doctorate Degree design.

2008 The 59th Annual Show of the Art Directors Club of Metropolitan Washington bestowed the Corcoran’s Office of Design with three awards of excellence for the Modernism: Designing a New World, 1914–1939 exhibition invitations, print collateral, and exhibition graphics.

 

Atlantic Canada Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise Awards (ICE AWARDS)

2015 Form:Media was awarded silver awards for their work for the Mezza Lebanese Kitchen in the identity, and collateral categories. In addition, our logo for Illusuak Cultural Centre was awarded a merit award logos category.

2004 The 2004 awards gala presented a gold medal for the Radiator Hosting logo design.

 

Canadian Regional Design Awards (Redgees)
The Canadian Regional Design Awards is divides the country into eight regions representing the best of Canadian design. Designers compete within their own geographic region.

2015 Form:Media was awarded an honourable mention for best in region for the Mezza Lebanese Kitchen logo. Best in Category awards were presented to Form:Media for Mezza Lebanese Kitchen branded Environment (Campaigns category); Town of Lunenburg Pedestrian Wayfinding Signage and Business Directory Kiosk (outdoor advertising); and Port Hakesbury Community Trails Signage (miscellaneous category). In addition, our logo for Illusuak Cultural Centre was one of three finalists in the logos category.

 

Graphic Design USA American Inhouse Design Awards
The competition encompasses inhouse designers
and teams within corporations, media companies, non-profits, educational and government institutions.

2008 Graphic Design USA presented the Corcoran with four awards for: Night and Day, publication design; and Modernism: Designing a New World, 1914–1939 exhibition invitation package, and environmental graphic design.

 

2008 The 2008 competition presented the Corcoran Gallery of Art with a merit award for print work produced for Modernism: Designing a New World, 1914–1939.

The In-HOWse Design Awards recognize the best creative work produced by designers working in corporations, associations and organizations.
